If you want to waste your time AND NOT get your car serviced, this is the place for you!
I had an appointment at 11am today to get all four of my tires aligned. My boyfriend showed up on time, dropped off my car, and was told it would be approximately a 2-3 hour wait. No big deal. He stayed in the area and went to the nearby Target to pass the time. Around 2:30pm he calls the shop for an update and is told that unfortunately they had not started the service on my car. Three and a half hours gone to waste. If my boyfriend had not called for an update, he probably would have been left waiting another few hours. The cherry on top was when my boyfriend (who was reasonably upset) picked up my vehicle and was told, “you’ll bring back the car tomorrow, right?”
I’m very disappointed as this location does not meet their commitment when it comes to a timely service. I understand the holidays are a busy time for everyone, but this shop should not be scheduling appointments that they cannot fulfill. We will not be returning and do not recommend this location to anyone.
As a single female it's always kind of worrisome when going to a new mechanic, but I was referred by a friend so took a chance. Am delighted with my experience with the team there and am comforted to know how close they are. I'll be using them from now on.
Update - 1/2024 There was another challenge and the guys here took care of me. Kyle and Ryan are amazing to work with. Great team!
Excellent service there. They did a great job for me. Replacing a battery in the Audi Q7. It was done with in the time frame they told me I was very happy bout that. I've used this location many times always friendly, professional, and do a great job every time. Thank You Guys at Ted Wiens!!
After arriving, I was well greeted at the front desk. The lobby and waiting room areas were very clean. There were a full Staff of mechanics ready-to-work. After your car is repaired, you recieve a text message to your cell phone and they pull the car up to the front door for you. What great service! I will definitely come back again for repairs.
Ted Wiens Tire and Auto on S. Ft Apache is a really good place to get a flat tire fixed. The wait time was about an hour and the charge was less than $25. They are very courteous and professional. I highly recommend Ted Wiens for new tires or tire repair. Keep up the good work, dudes!
Had an amazing experience here. They went out of their way to help me with a low coolant level alert on my car right away. The service manager was so kind to show me the issue and add coolant without charging me. Truly appreciate the customer service.
Love this shop. Very polite agents, car is worked on in a timely manner. Their prices are reasonable and I believe they are an honest businessmen. Thank you Ted Weins!
I chose this location because they offer “road force tire balancing”, which gives better tire balancing results and is a technology most tire shops don’t invest in and offer because most car owners can’t tell the difference. I’ve had them perform this for me twice with excellent long-lasting results and a fair price. Unfortunately, immediately after this most recent visit I stopped by a nearby car wash where I noticed a wheel center cap missing (available on eBay for as cheap as $13); since it’s next to impossible to pry them off while the wheel is on the car due to how tightly the caps fit (I can’t even slide an Exacto in, much less anything strong enough to pry with), and since due to my profession I clean my car thoroughly every few days (including the wheels) and had been checking tire pressures daily due to a slow leak, this all caused me to see my wheels daily lately, and so I felt it was extremely unlikely that the cap was missing before my visit to this shop nor was it stolen while sitting in their lot before being serviced (not to mention that I’ve been a store manager for Big O and I know “stuff/mistakes happen”; small/fragile parts like trim occasionally get misplaced or broken, and wheel caps are removed by technicians when performing wheel-tire work like I was having them perform). So I immediately returned to this shop to check if it wasn’t put back on for some reason. The lobby employee on duty checked with the tire technician and returned with the work order on which the technician hand-wrote and highlighted that the center cap was missing before they worked on it (ruling out that it became missing at the car wash or otherwise after the servicing). Due to exactly what I just described above, again, I felt that was 95%< unlikely and it struck me as a tech trying to cover they’re butt with no “making it right” being offered, and so I stormed out and burned rubber out of their lot (in hindsight I think I was so offended because I know the car like the back of my hand because I bought it new nine years ago and have babied it and there’s not one missing or loose part on it, and so it felt like I was being called a liar, and for a $13 part to-boot). After taking a breath to calm down I returned and asked to speak with a manager (out of principle at this point, not about a $13 part), to whom I described all of this, with the manager taking my number and promising to get back with me after he looked into the matter. Within a few days I received a call saying that a brand new center cap arrived and I could drop by anytime for it, which I just did and it’s the right part, fits tight and right, and looks great. So, result: again, I get it…things happen, whether or not while the car was in their custody, and this manager made it right due to what was most likely; furthermore, they do good work for fair prices and, in my experience, in a timely manner; they’ve been around a long time and almost everyone has a good experience, so they deserve their good reputation; what I’d advise them is: avoid at all costs making a customer feel like they’re lying or trying to pull one over on the shop, especially if it’s a really small matter like mine where it’s unlikely the customer is lying (instead, quickly investigate as thoroughly as possible and then, if the employee isn’t empowered to make it right on the spot, then immediately escalate to someone who is, and don’t turn the customer away until this is done, putting the shop at risk of a customer posting a negative review tarnishing the shop). This small matter wasn’t worth upsetting me so much initially, and I shouldn’t have had to return to speak with a manager—but when I did the manager made it right. So I will trust them again with work required in the future and I still rate them 5-star. If it’s a lesson-learned then they and all their customers will be better for it in the future.
